Andrea Loddo received B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Cagliari (Italy) in 2012 and 2014, respectively, and the Ph.D. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Cagliari in 2019. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Cagliari, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
He is a professor of Laboratory of Programming 1 in Computer Science (B.Sc.).
From Sept. 2017 to Jan. 2018 he worked at HEIG-VD, Haute Ecole d’Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud and collaborated with prof. Michel Kocher to investigate malaria analysis with morphological operators.
He is member of IEEE and CVPL (Associazione Italiana per la ricerca in Computer Vision, Pattern recognition e machine Learning).
He is a reviewer for international journals and conferences and author of papers in journals and conference proceedings.
His research interests include image analysis for biomedical applications, computer vision, pattern recognition, machine, and deep learning algorithms, security applications, and data mining.
