|[40/49] IMAGING AND RADIOTHERAPY TECHNIQUES||[49/00 - Ord. 2020] PERCORSO COMUNE||8||64|
Knowledge and understanding: The course aims to provide systematic knowledge of anatomy of the human body, tissues, systems and organs and their relationships. In particular will provide knowledge of the general principles of cytology and histology, necessary for the understanding of physiological and pathological processes, and knowledge of the functions of the human body, the systematic and topographic organization of the skeletal, muscles and joints apparatus, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urogenital apparatus, central and peripheral nervous system, endocrine system and sense organs.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: Student will apply theoretical knowledge related to the general principles of cytology and histology, necessary for the understanding of physiological and pathological processes.
The student will be able to understand the concepts related to the systematic, topographic anatomy and to the organs of the human body and apply this knowledge in preparation for technical diagnostic process.
Making judgments: The course aims to stimulate students to an objective assessment of their acquired knowledge, through a comparison between what they learn in class and what through self-study.
Communication skills: The student must know how to communicate in an essential, comprehensive and appropriate language, anatomical and histological knowledge learned during the course.
Learning skills: The student will be able to understand, also through knowledge from secondary sources, anatomical and histological knowledge learned during the course, so that this knowledge can be applied in the courses and in professional work.

The lectures (48h anatomy and 16h histology) will be integrated with Powerpoint presentations and anatomical models. The Professor will encourage the dialogue aimed at understanding the processes explained. Supplementary activities held by the professor will focus on topics explained during lectures with the aid of anatomical models.
Verification of learning
Midterm multiple-choice written test at the end of histology teaching unit. Students who haven’t passed midterm tests will take an oral exam.
The final exam will be oral and will be carried out as reported by the Academic Calendar.
For the final mark, out of 30, the weighted average of scores will be calculated..
The student will be evaluated according to the knowledge of the topics of the course, the ability to correlate different parts of the program, the use of the correct terminology.
An oral ongoing evaluation will be made in order to verify the level of student learning during the course.
Registration to exams will be done by electronic procedure.
